An animation showing how a design flaw in a Mori Seiko NLX 2500/700SY created a failure condition below a specific part diameter.

Reconstructing a mechanical failure condition.
The animation had to show why machining failed below a specific part diameter. It also had to explain the physical relationship to viewers unfamiliar with the machine.
I modeled the machine and its action from scratch, rendered the sequence with V-Ray, and used After Effects for the final timing and presentation.
